Default Getting my Pearl to be all it can be

Please Login to Remove!

Ok, here's the deal. My internet is out, and will probably be for awhile thanks to a storm. Until then, I'm relegated to using tethering for my access.
I have now grown impatient and want the whole 9 yards (4.5, 2.5, and any/everything else point five I can get) for my Pearl. The question is, can I do it all through tethering? I get 115 kbps, and I'm guessing it would be a slow process. Would anyone though have an idea about how long it would take? Doesn't have to be accurate, just a ball-park figure would suffice.

If you already have DM installed on your PC, all you need to do it download 4.5 and install it. There is no 2.5 to install for the html email.

About 4-5 hours, according to your speed and the specific 4.5 OS file you download.

And that's hoping I would not disconnect for any reason.
How about the phone itself. Would there be any damage to it being used extensively like that?

It won't harm the device.

Thanks! I just want to join in on all the fun I see everybody else having. But since I have to be at work at 3:30am, I might just save it until tomorrow. I want it, but I'm not willing to lose sleep over it.

You could probably download the file at a local library or internet cafe to a flash drive, move it to your PC and install from there.

No internet cafe here. We're a 1-horse town, and the horse is rented.
But I never thought about downloading it like that at the library. Great suggestion!
