i'm on a phone call on my 8130, i hit the option button, select "conference call". then it lets me type in the name, i select a name and choose conference call again..... it hangs up my initial call, giving me no warning it hung up on them instead just dialing the new number!!

what's the deal? i thought this is how conference calls worked.

Have you tried a battery pull?

I think you have to hit the green button after that sequence and they'll connect. Try a couple of test calls.
