ive read many guids that all say the same thing. install the firmware and boot up the desktop manger and it will install....

its doesnt install!

can anyone lead me in the right direction?! ive done it before but now it wont do it like the guides say.

thanks, just after i posted i think i may have found the problem.

going to add/remove programs under windows xp showed i had more then one type of firmware update ready for upload, so it would upload either of them...

i removed them both from the add/ remove programs gui and reinstalled just one of the firmwares... im booting up desktop manager now and it seems to be working... ill post again if i have any problems..

Other than that the most common mistake is forgetting to remove the vendor.xml file.
