Default 8130 music help - 07-04-2008, 04:28 PM

I have an 8130 V 4.3. I installed a 4 gb mini SD card. I downloaded my music to the card using Roxio Media Manager. However, although the music is listed as being on the media card on the desktop computer the Blackberry only recognizes about 50% of the music as being on the card. Is this fixable?? Thanks

When I install new mp3 files on my card, it takes some time for the device to recognize them. Might be the problem.
Personnaly, I do not like the Roxio Media Manager. I convert all my wav files with Windows Media Player (!) updapte the ID tags and copy with a drag and drop between the computer and the BB. It takes a few minutes for the BB to identify the new tracks but then it works just fine.

i really really really hate roxio media manager. i had micro sd card reader when i had my last phone so i have been using that. i find i get a ton less errors using the little reader then when i use roxio or even when using mass media support on a mac.

for as cheap as they are i really can say enough to praise em
Newegg.com - IOGEAR GFR201TF USB 2.0 Pocket Card Reader for microSD / TF Cards - Card Readers

this is the EXACT model i managed to find at best buy, the only issue ive had with it is that there was no vista support, but that may have changed since i tried it last

Wirelessly posted

I just view the BB as a device in windows explorer and copy my mp3 files like the BB is a hard drive. The BB does take a while before it will see the files though.

Either that or copy via windows explorer on another card reader or device then insert into the BB.
