Default Yet another blackberry pearl boot up problem

Alright... so after clearing my blackberry pearl with JL Commander and reinstalling the operating system (from the sticky "Latest 8100 OS: /")
I turned on my blackberry. However, for over 10 minutes now it's been stuck on the screen with the rotating hour glass and the T-Mobile splash screen has yet to appear.

Is there any way I can fix this problem? Or is it supposed to take that long?

You sound like you know what you are doing, but when I get it stuck like that, it means battery pull time. I've installed programs that stall on installation, but after the battery pull, work perfectly well as if they installed fine, with no reason to have stalled.

The first reboot after loading the OS can make the hourglass spin for up to 20 minutes. Just be patient.

if after a half hour it is time to unplug it and do a battery pull
