Default 7130e Verizon user considering upgrade

My contract is coming up in a few weeks so I'm considering an upgrade to the Pearl. What are your favorite likes and dislikes of this phone? (I like the Sure Type but the Curve looks like a pretty nice phone too)

My main reason for getting the Pearl was its size and it has been a good choice for me.
Suretype is a breeze when you get used to it too.
There isn't really anything that I dislike about my device at all. That said my next BB is unlikely to be a pearl type mainly cos I'm not too keen on the KickStart.
The curve is a good looking device but after trying it out I decided it wasn't for me as I found typing easier on the pearl but that's just me
Perhaps you need to try them out too before making a final decision. You may prefer the qwerty keyboard and
Bigger screen after you have a play with it.

Good luck!

Wirelessly posted (BB 8130)

Their both great devices, I have the vzw pearl. I wanted a full keyboard, but the curve is a bit wide for me. There is not much I dislike about the pearl at all. It has a memory leak that causes slow downs, but as long as you don't need to keep all your SMS messages for ever your ok. I delete my texts every 3 or 4 days and do a batery pull once a week.

I am extremely happy with my first BB, and as long as they come out with slim devices, other than the kickstart, I will be a user for life.

Default Leaning toward the Curve

Thanks for your feed back. I was at the Verizon Store today and had a chance to try both out for awhile. The Curve is very nice with a larger screen and very similar in size to my 7130e. It's only a tad wider but only about 1/2 the thickness and about the same height. While I've mastered the Sure Type a full size key board is a plus for me but I'll have to get used to the numbers for dialing on the key pad. And having spell checker too is a nice feature.

I've had the both, the Pearl and the Curve. Buy the Curve. The only drawback to the Curve is the location of the microSD card slot.

After fumbling through the Pearl transition and being confident I wouldn't go back I went back and can't go back again.

Get the Curve or if you can hold out then wait for a Bold or Thunder release.

Got the Curve today! Set up was flawless and I really like the size and screen clarity.
