Ok, long time reader, first time writer. Before I get too much flak, I have read the tutorial and used the search function to attempt to figure it out on my own.

The basics: Laptop OS: Vista
8100 OS: v4.2.1.96
Carrier: Cingular
Running latest desktop manager

The problem I am having is I keep getting error 718. Now vista is different in what they call things, but for the most part I have been able to find my way. For example when I go to change my DNS, it is under the "Networking" tab and there are two different TCP/IP options, one ...v6 and the other ...v4. The only one I could change was v4. I called customer service and they were able to add the following:

WIX EXTENDED INTERNET $0.00
WIX DATA CONNECT $0.00

When the rep tried to add the pay per use, she said it wouldn't let her add it because it conflicted with my unlimited blackberry plan. I have the BB personal unlimited data plan. I really don't know what else to try. I have followed the modem how-to to the letter and am still having problems. My next step is to update the os of the phone, but it seems that anythings +4.X should work, at least as far as I have read. If any one has managed to get this rolling, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
