I bought an 8100 the other day, and it has no mylar piece on it for whatever reason. (The paper piece with the silver dots that connects the PCB to the actual keys and registers button presses.)

My roomate actually works for RIM Tech support here in Halifax and he's assured me that there is absolutely nothing wrong with any other part of the berry.

What I'm getting at here, is that I need to buy that mylar part from somewhere online but the only place that has them is a website called,

which is a total rip. They want to charge me almost 60 bucks with shipping by the time everything is all said and done. Thats ridiculous. I could buy another junked pearl and use it from that, but it would probably be easier just to fix another one.

Any resources where I can find another supplier for this part and not have to shell out TONS of money?
