Default Wet Pearl

A huge errant wave struck and soaked my BB Pearl. It died very much like humans do, the little hourglass came on and beeped slowly and then twirled a little and then dimmed to nothing. (I didn't perform CPR). I went through the requiste drying phase, open the back removed the battery, SIM card (AT&T) and memory card. Sat it in front of a fan for a day--nothing. Two days--nothing. I orderd a refurbished one and then about 2 hrs before it arrived it beeped! In disblief I looked at it and plugged it in to the power outlet, and it kept showing a drained baterry. Then It worked fine, the refurnbished one arrived an I denied the delivery and then my BB started to cut off spontaneously and does so now more than ever. About 30 secs. Anyone have any ideas? Much appreciated.
Ben

Default

I have saved mine three times now from water. I also have re soldered the volume and left buttons back on the main board. I completely take it apart, spray it down with pcb board cleaner (radio shack) and then use a hair dryer to dry. This has worked every time I went swimming with my bb. Why not buy a new one? Well I am usually working in the field and a cannot change my pin because of how much I rely on the bb messenger. The pearl is super easy to take apart, itxxx8217;s almost like the planned it to be serviceable.
