| Newbie with some questions / problems Please Login to Remove! Hi, I'm brand new to the blackberry world, I got my blackberry less than a week ago, so I have some questions / problems
I know this has been addressed a few times but I can't seem to solve it on my end- about three days after using my blackberry all my texts and call logs dissapeared- so I looked up the forums and did a battery pull. I wasn't able to follow the steps this form puts out to increase memory usage because I use a Mac and therefore can't install the desktop software-
but the battery pull seemed to work, but then, another three days later- the calls and texts disappeared again- I got a call earlier, no idea who it was from, but its not in my call log, etc.
Seeing that this can be problematic... I think I need to figure something out or get a different phone...
my memory is at 8,729,724+ (not sure what it said before battery pull!) I dont see it filling up in three days-
it also says file total: 50,462,720
How much memory does the device come with?
I dont save any emails on my blackberry, I delete them as they come in, I have maybe 4 pictures, i dont have any third party apps, ringtones, or anything downloaded.
I do have contacts in my address book but I'd say its well under 100 contacts... and 2 memos, and about 5 things in my calender.
SOO its not like I'm putting a lot on the phone! I'd think itd be able to hold call logs and texts longer than 3 days!
Is it normal to have to do a battery pull every two - three days? Is there something I'm missing here?
I was thinking about getting a memory card but I read that it doesn't do anything for call logs and texts so it doesn't seem like it'll help in this case?
Aside from that- is there a way to automatically delete my emails that come in, unless I chose to save them, or do I have to do that manually when I receive each one?
Is there a way to update the OS with a Mac??
Thanks for any help! |
