Default is there any way to ad the a2dp profile to a T-mobile Pearl?

Please Login to Remove!

I know the device supports this, however it is not enabled. I'd like to listen to my mp3's on my stereo Motorola s9 bluetooth headset. I've yet to see an OS update which can allow this (say for example OS 4.3.1), as well, rogers has not allowed the latest code for the 8100 to be released to the end users.

Any ideas of where I can find this update or what my next steps are?

Thanks in advance

before anyone asks, I have searched here, pinstack, crackberry and blackberry.com

Lots of folks asking the same question, but no solid answers as to if this can be done, or if I will have to abandon my pearl for a better supported handset

You can use an OS that's been released by another carrier. Go here and follow the instructions to put up a 4.5.x release on your device. This will give you the stereo bluetooth.

and in case you're wondering, A2DP works perfectly with OS 4.5.x.xx.

The media library, however, is a different story. On the off chance that the library is build properly after a reboot, it lasts less than a few hours. After that, I go into the Artists menu, for example, then under each artist, there is nothing, no albums. Similar results when I look under albums. I can see each album name, but no songs under the album name. You can still "shuffle all songs" which works pretty well, but picking a specific song or album is tough.

I haven't found a fix for this, and am running 4.5.0.55. I don't remember 4.5.0.42 being this bad.

sounds like the variable is the "other" device. all i can say is that yes, A2DP works perfectly for me with my Pioneer car stereo. and i can't speak for xplayer, use the stock media player. you are on a 4.5.x.x OS, right?
