Hey guys! I have a red Blackberry Pearl 8130. I set up my Blackberry and Gmail accounts in order to receive email on my phone. Recently, I set up my Blackberry to get mail from my Hotmail account, but I get so much mail on my Hotmail address, that the constant vibration and notification forced me to delete the setup on my Blackberry phone so that I won't receive my Hotmail email.

However, after I deleted it, I received notification of new email on my Hotmail account. So at the top of my phone's screen, I have this annoying notification that I have 4 new emails. However, I can't check them because I deleted the Hotmail setup to receive mail from that account on my Blackberry.

Does anyone know how to rectify this problem so that this notification of new emails (which I cannot access) will disappear?

PS - My other accounts work fine, but anytime I get new email, the count starts from 4. Also I have tried re-adding the Hotmail account to my Blackberry, but it does not erase the notification that I have 4 unread emails. It just sent me the the new email and started the count from 4.

In my opinion.I will reload Or update the Os. How about you ?

Have you tried a battery pull?

Also, open up your messages folder, select todays date, and hit menu, mark all prior read.

Uninstall current theme and install theme again.
Should be a solution.

go to options > advanced > service books and delete the TWO service books that reference your hotmail account.
