So i just got the BB Pearl 8130 from Bell and i'm having a bit of a hard time setting up some of the e-mail configs.

What are the general methods of sync-ing my Outlook 2007 with my BB? I'm not running BES or OES b/c i'm just using the blackberry for personal use. I'm thinking there has to be some add-in for the blackberry, and some add-in for Outlook that is activated when i plug in my usb cord (or bluetooth).

and then the e-mails that i have read on my blackberry will trigger outlook to mark those e-mails as read, and vice versa.

i have DM 4.2 sp2 and OS 4.3.0.66 and platform 3.1.0.35

This has gotten a bit more difficult since the blackberry application "mail connector" is not avalable anymore.

You will need to log into your BIS account (online website for configuring email) and follow he steps for adding an existing email to your blackberry. Pretty stright forward, just dont have the site for you.

Okay - sorry clarification coming up:

I already have the BIS set up and my blackberry is receiving e-mails from my g-mail. I just want to sync the organizing of outlook with my BB, i.e. with read/unread e-mails, and folders, attention required, etc. are there any apps for the bb that mimic outlook?

you would have to set your GMAIL up using IMAP instead of POP3. The disadvantage of this is you lose the instant push, and it goes to the 15 min polling intervals.

I am assuming that your outlook 2007 is attached to your work machine, that is in turn is getting its email from your enterprise exchange server?
You will need some client on your desktop, that runs 24/7, that redirects your email to the bb, what mail connecter used to do.

Or if your enterprise has OWA enabled I belive the BIS can connect to it.
