Default phone wont power on

I have a 8130 pearl on the bell network and today my gps stopped working (not unusual) so I took the battery out as instructed by a bell rep. Turned it back on and nothing...I get a solid red light for a few seconds then every 3 seconds or so get 4 blinking red lights and the phone wont power on. It's been like this for about 5 or 6 hours now, tried everything plugging it in to charge, pulling battery...nothing works. Anyone else run into this??

Does the computer recognize it at all? If so you might be able to reload the OS. It's a long shot but could work. Recently my work had a ancient 7250 that did this same thing. Unfortunately this failed for me but its always worth an attempt. All in all, hopefully you had a recent backup!

so I plugged my phone into the computer again and then noticed that desktop manager recognized a device but couldn't read it...it could however reload the software. Kind of sucks though that I lost everything. Phone is restored though....hard lesson learn, backup often!
