does gmail work with the "hack". (PS: I used that hack on Shadow and SDA for years, it worked just fine) if gmail works with this hack, it would be more than useful.

The 3rd party Gmail app may work, but you won't be able to use the native email client

Because if you looked a little on your own, you would find the answers yourself. I found this link on the MAIN PAGE of the FAQ:

How to use BlackBerry on Generic Data Plan - BlackBerryFAQ

Please search before you ask.

I know a good consulting firm that offers 24/7 BlackBerry support, if personal service is needed rather than searching

Because a lot of folks around here have seen the same questions a thousand times and are giving you the most *direct* answer...pointing you to a place where it has already been answered in the greatest detail by a definitive source (this board's own BB experts).

Would you rather have an incomplete answer or a complete one?

You will find this board most helpful...but sometimes that help comes in the form of pointing you to another similar post. Its all good.

peace

Maybe they have not received your payment of $9.99 for Direct Answers option at the time of your registration.
I paid $19.99 and I am getting my answers written on a sparkling paper, mailed to me in scented envelope.

This works for sure on T-Mobile? I could've sworn I looked all this up when I got my blackberry last Christmas and came to the conclusion it didn't work with T-mo.
