Ok, I'm new to Blackberry's and new to the site. I bought this phone (Blackberry Pearl) for my wife back in October. I've since came back from the army, blah blah blah, and I traded her my Samsung Blast for this because she was having problems with it. Anyways, problem number 1 is that everytime we turn on our computer the redirector gives us this message:

Could notstart the Redirector: the connection to your messaging system could not be initialized.

If you are a BlackBerry Server user, please contact your BlackBerry System Administrator for debuglog help. If you are a Redirector user, please contact BlackBerry support.

I'm sorry if this has been asked, I tried searching and didn't really find anything that helped. If someone could just guide me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it.

something I just thought of that might tie into this problem, we don't pay for any type of internet or any of that jazz for this phone, however, my wife was able to check her yahoo email on here before we traded. now i can't change from her email addresses to mine =[

Uninstall Desktop Redirector. It is only to be used with Exchange back end servers.
