Default Browser Question

Please Login to Remove!

Okay. This may be a stupid question, but here goes. I've seen where people talk about using Opera as a browser. I seem to have trouble with content-rich pages (such as eBay) with the factory-installed browser, so I'm wondering what other options there are out there?

TIA!!!

I might be missing something, but it appears to only be for T-Mobile and Cingular customers. Do you know if it works on an Alltel 8130?

I can't seem to get it to work on my Pearl. I downloaded the file from the Opera website, both on the pc and on the phone, and attempted to open it on the phone to no avail. Then I attempted to use the Application Loader in the Desktop Manager and that doesn't work either. What am I doing wrong?

I think so? I went to the Blackberry 4.3 Core Applications under Application permissions and selected allow under all three choices. Is that what you mean?

That's the one I've been trying. I tried to download to the pc and when I go through the Application Loader Wizard using the Desktop Manager and load the .alx file, I get this message:

"No additional applications designed for your device were found."

Am I just going about this all wrong?

try installing the OS for your BB on your PC, then adding Opera. You can find it in the sticky at the top of this forum
