Track Ball Problems

Hey all,

My track ball sometimes does not respond. I try to roll it side to side and it just kind of stays put. I know in the past I've seen on thread titles that you can clean your track ball... but I never looked at them. Is that the solution? Or do I need to somehow get a new track ball? Let me know, thanks any help and I am MORE than grateful. Peace+love.
