I'm probably going to jump on the 'kickstart' (pearl 8200?) when it comes out. I've been longing for a flip format since I got sucked into BB land. :D

I hope the pearl form factor doesnt go 100% clamshell. This is the first bar phone I have had and I love it. The curve is too wide. sigh

I sincerely hope there is another candy bar style pearl in the future! The kickstart is not for me :(

I hope they will keep both, I really like my 8110 but want to get a kickstart 8200 for my GF.

Agreed. I love my Pearl and in no way shape or form do I want to switch to a flip to keep the size.

I doubt RIM will get rid of the candy-bar form factor any time in the near future.

It's not just the bar phone - it's a small form factor bar phone. Clearly the Bold for example is a bar style. I like that the Pearl is about have the size.

I hope the pearl doesn't ditch the candy bar form so far I'm not a big fan of the 8220
