Default Service Light on the Pearl - how to turn it off? - 08-18-2008, 09:13 PM

Hi there - does anyone know how to turn off the service light. Mine flashes red and blue (when the bluetooth is on). I want it to stop blinking.

Thanks in advance

It flashes red when you receive a message. Edit your profiles and turn off "repeat notifications" to get rid of the red.

To get rid of the blue you need to go into the options for bluetooth and turn off the led indicator. However, there have been many known issues when turning off the blue indicator. I don't recommend turning it off. The BB likes to drop the bluetooth connection when that is turned off.

Wirelessly posted (8100 Pearl)

This is really good advice Joice. Having the red flashing for new emails, calls etc is great and knowing when I have a Bluetooth connection is critical.

Experience is a wonderful thing. It enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again
