Default Email Folder Issue

Please Login to Remove!

The other day my Pearl crashed and I was forced to re-install the phone operating system, which I did successfully. Before this happened, I had two email accounts. one for the office and one for home. On the face of the Pearl, I had a folder for email, one folder for messages at work and another for home. When the Pearl finally rebooted after the installation, I no longer had an email folder and only one message folder. I did not have to reinstall the two email accounts, they were already back into the phone. So here's the problem: All of my messages are going into the one folder, which is okay, but when I go to delete the message, it not longer gives me the option of deleting on both the phone and on my PC, which I was able to do before. Also, when I go into the message folder, and select options, there is no ability to select email options. I only have general options listed. In all other respects the phone is working okay with all my programs having been reloaded. Is there any way I can get back the email folder and a second message folder? Please help

It is likely hidden? On the homescreen, press Menu and show all.

Or they could have been placed in a folder?

Sorry, that wasn't it. I had tried that before and it didn't work. I think the problem has to do with the fact that I did not set up the email after the reboot. I might try to delete the emails and then reinstall.

Try deleting the Service Books first on your device at Options > Advanced > Service Books...any with a @ in them.

Reboot the device with a battery pull.

THEN, Options > Advanced > HRT > Register Now, and get the SBs pushed back.

If nothing, you may need to go to your BIS account and delete the email accounts and readd them.

Thsnkd. I had just resent the service books and that corrected the issue. I then saw your reply. I was one step ahead of you, but I really appreciate your input. I always seem to find the solution, but sometimes I don't know how I did it. The forum is great. It has gotten me out of some tough spots.
