IS there a way to keep the Disco feature on even when your screen goes dark? I have another app that lets me do this but the colors just cycle through

1. User adjustable speed of the Disco mode.

2. Similar to Disco, it would be really cool to have a 'Pulse' mode for each of the preset colors. I.e., it would pulse or glow red, from 0 to 255 to 0.

3. Don't know if this is necessary, but if the drain of the LED's is more than trivial, then maybe don't activate LED's if the battery is <10%.

Has anyone noticed that when you set Blingball to Red, it's exactly like HAL 9000, even the chrome surround. I think I will have to have a ringtone of HAL singing "Daisy, Daisy".
UM ok now im just gonna be scared of my pearl its gonna take over all my stuff n try to destroy me lmao.
Thats if i could get it to load i download the file and it shows me the zip er rar file but when i try to open it it tells me the archive is either unknown format or damaged??? I dunno any ideas .

n a weird thing i noticed was when i downloaded it from the first post it was 33.05mb and the one i downloaded from rgeorges postin the middle of the thread was 33.15mb . EH maybe just nuthin but figured i let yas know n maybe the servers just down it is 2:33am in the morning here.

Thanks! it works great!

Maybe you can add an option that gives diferent colors in different situations for example when you receive a call disco feature or a tilting color enables.

Thanks again for this great program!

Amazing work. I upgraded to 4.5 for the a2dp, but really regretted the loss of color pearl. Now it works great!

Just wondering though, if I keep it to Disco mode, does it wear out the LED faster since it's constantly changing colors instead of being set to one color?

Hello,

I've just upgraded my OS to the newest update available, and installed BlingBall.. However, it seems that I cannot change the colors in the menu, or make it change from one color to another.

My BlingBall options are under settings, I don't know if it's supposed to be like that since I have a custom theme.

Is it my theme or is it another problem?

You need to open BlingBall from settings menu and choose the BB key to the left of the track ball and choose change option. There you will be able to change the color settings

It works when I save the color, however when it goes into standby mode it goes to a shady gray color??
Is this why you guys are using electrical tape to cover the small white led?

okay so i really feel dumb here but after i downloaded the application.. i can't find anywhere to edit any settings.

-it doesn't come up when i display all icons (not sure if it should)
-i've checked through all of my "Options" options and nothing
-the only reference to blingball is when i go Options -> Adv. Options -> Applications and it shows it there (i know it's working because my pearl is red)

so.. how am i supposed to change the options?
(i downloaded the OTA about 5 minutes ago)

will black electrical tape fix this, as it will wash out the white led making the other colors brighter? any answer is greatly appreciated and thank you for the app!
Also the new 4.5 themes are awesome

Yes that's right! The white LED may wash out other colors.

You could probably use a black laundry marker to mark the LED to lessen the light flow of the white LED. If you get sick of it, you can scrape it off with your nails.

The .jad file is for downloading via your BB's browser. The zip file contains the files needed for installing via desktop manager and a usb cable.

Any chance of making it have color-specific assignments for incoming calls?

I had the free version of xColorEvent for the Pearl, and I loved it. I had it blink Blue for Phone calls and Red for messages, but it won't work with the new OS. if BlingBall could replicate those features it would be even better.

Cool Pearl Stays Lit - 10-19-2008, 07:28 PM

I dl'd the blingball and it's great! But one question, the pearl stays lit when the screen turns off. Is this normal? Usually the pearl light will turn off as well. Also when the screen comes back on the pearl is stuck in one color and then goes back to white. Whats happening, Anyone?

call it childish - once i decided: "no upgrade from old style 4.2 without color pearl"

but now I run 4.5.0.108 and blingball 0.9b2 and everything works excellent and fine with all functions and without any kind of problem from the very first second on.

thank you very much. great job.

Nice work. I lost my source code in a hard drive accident (formatted it when I thought it was backed up, and it wasn't), and just upgraded to 4.5 (memory leak gone! no more deleted messages!). I was going to rewrite ColorPearl, but need to wait for RIM to get back to me with codesigning keys again (they were lost on the hard drive, too). Now, I'm not sure if I'll bother.

Thanks!
