Hello,

I am a new owner of an 8130 and am having issues with combining contact information. Currently I have contact information in three places:
1. on my phone (phone numbers)
2. outlook (email addresses)
3. ACT (client addresses and phone numbers)

I am hoping to be able to access these on my blackberry, however still keeping them in seperate folders as to not make it too cumbersome to find anything. I have about 100 phone numbers, 400 email addresses, and 400ACT files - combining them into one large address book would be horrible, making it near impossible to just scroll through my phone numbers, which is all I would want to do the majority of the time. Is there a way to access those folders on your blackberry while still having them in unique folders?

Finally, is there a way to manage your phone numbers from the blackberry on your PC? I am hoping to upload the phone address book to my pc, make changes, then sync it back to the pearl.

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Well, you can enter them all in, and then seperate them into categories, and only show the categories that you use the most, while the others stay hidden until you choose to view them.

Yeah what he said... and you can set those catagories in Outlook by mass selecting the ones for each catagory. I just finished doing this with my wifes contact list. 400+ total contacts.

Thanks for the responses!

Will I be able to access the hidden categories on my blackberry or is that done via PC? Meaning, if I put everything I dont want to always be displayed in say a "business" category - but then im on the road and need a email address that is in that category - can I swith over to that and open it up on my blackberry?

You can display them at any time from the phone, no PC needed.

Again....what he said...lol. From what I have seen, you can view ALL or just a specific category.

So you can set one group to a Category titled Daily and only view that one. Then set the rest to business and those3 will pop up when you uncheck Daily to view all categories.
