Question 8110/8220 newbie questions

Hello all, I about to become new to the BB world, and I have narrowed it down to the 8110/8120. My work provides the cell coverage, but no data connection (well not for my position anyways). I'm debating between the two because I keep going back and forth between GPS and WIFI. Here are a few of my questions:
1)Can i subscribe to the BB data plan third party (i doubt it, but I figured I ask)?
2) On 8110, does the use of GPS require a data plan ?
3)On the 8220, can I use just WIFI to access the net?
4)Will I be able to receive my company email just through wifi and not the blackberry data package (I know others in our office use their blackberry's to receive their email)?
