My 8100 was nuked and I reloaded it with a Cable & Wireless file and then I found the AT&T file that I wanted to use, I have tried several times after to load the AT&T file to this phone and yet it still has the C&W logo in it. I have also tried to use the javaloader to wipe it but I cannot connect to the device. Can someone help???

You cannot change the splash screen that displays regardless of the carrier OS you load. This is flashed to the permanent memory of the device, and depicts the carrier the device was originally setup for.

So you are telling me that the original file that was in it is a cable & wireless file? Well if such is the case the network lock is activated on it and I think I used it on another network before. It seems to only accept c&W sim cards, I am not sure if it was unlocked before. Can reloading the OS close the network lock if it was opened before?

No - putting on a different OS will not relock a BlackBerry if it was unlocked.

There is no such thing as a "cable & wireless" file. All of the software is written by RIM and tested and released by the carriers. You can use anyone you'd like to.

Changing versions of the handheld OS will never relock an unlocked BB, and you can't change the splash screen at startup.
