Default Upgrading your Phone's OS from the Blackberry Website?

Please Login to Remove!

Does this sound feasible? A website that will automatically determine what version OS your phone currently is and then update it with the OS Software that it chooses, instead of hunting around for the right software?

I am not sure if this is true for everyone or not, but I downloaded the Os upgrade from this forum http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...languages.html and it made my phone Unreasonably Slow (15 Min. Bootup). I then searched around and found this nifty little "Upgrade" button on Blackberry's website BlackBerry - BlackBerry Device Software that will do all of this work for me, plus it finds the EXACT OS Update that my phone needed, which made the bootup time a bit quicker.

Between the two updates, the one I did myself and the one that Blackberry did for me, I work so much faster with what BB's Website did to upgrade my phone. I am wondering if it would just be better to use the Website from now on?

Default

Yes, that upgrade option has been available since the middle of September...

Of course, since ATT did not have any OS 4.5 available at that time, since it only upgrades to the latest of the OS your carrier supports.
