Default Google Sync Problems

Please Login to Remove!

A lot of people posting about this at the Google Mobile Help forums, but not much in the way of answers. I've got a Pearl 8120 with OS 4.5, and I can't seem to get Google Sync to work properly. I've had random issues that others are reporting: duplicated address entries in contacts, duplicate contacts, missing numbers that re-appear after a device reboot, and with this last install, Calendar syncing to the device, but additions to the device don't show up on Google Calendar.

Is this app working correctly for anybody? I'm trying to decide if I should continue trying to troubleshoot or just uninstall 'til Google fixes it (ETA = who knows when?).

Same issue as DMJ. Searched all over this forum for a solution with no luck. No solution found on other forums either.
Sync set to one google calendar only. contact sync not selected.
Google Sync version 0.5.12
Storm OS 4.7.0.75
Google calendar syncs to blackberry fine, but bberry calendar entries do not sync to google calendar.
any suggestions?

I've stopped using Sync for the calendar for now. Not a big deal as I mostly use Outlook, and Google's cal was just a form of backup for me. Still having minor glitches with the contacts syncing, but nothing too serious so it's still usable for me. Google seems to be moving a lot faster these days with a lot of their products,* so I hope they fix this app soon.

* I hear they have to trim a lot of fat because of the recession, which means less of those open-ended sandbox-type beta projects and more focus on usable apps and stuff.

I am bummed that I can't seem to get an answer to this problem.

My assistant uses google calendar to book my appointments and they sync to my storm fine, but when I make an appointment on my berry's calendar it does not sync back to her calendar. It is just a matter of time before we double book.

Any help would be appreciated gang.

I suppose it's because there is no answer, other than "wait for an update."

Buggy software.

Waiting for an update here too. I still use it to sync my calender, but have unchecked the option to sync my contacts for now.

I am hoping that Google will get the bugs worked out soon and do another update.
