Default Charging in car.

My pearl 8100 will charge in my car with 2 different chargers (one official t-mobile/blackberry and one said it works with BB) but my girlfriends pearl 8100 will only show the charging icon for about 3 seconds then it stops charging. Her phone will charge in the house with the wall charger.

I don't know what could be wrong with her phone. For now she has a power inverter and a wall charger for her car.

Does the BB give any error message? Mine would sometimes complain that the USB-port does not supply sufficient power for charging. The only possible cause that I could think of is that the USB-voltage drops too deep. Do you have a Digital Multimeter to check that?

No error msgs. and my phone works so I don't see why it wouldn't work. It must be a problem with her phone. (we bought them at the same time)

Does her phone charge in your car? Does it charge when the engine is running?

It will not charge for more than 3 seconds in my car or her SUV. We have tested 2 different car chargers that I know work with my phone in both her SUV and in my car.
