Default bluetooth dropping on my pearl

Please Login to Remove!

Anyone had problems with their bluetooth not holding a connection? I have a Pearl 8130, if I enable bluetooth but don't connect it to a device, it stays up for days. If I connect it to a headset, it will seem to randomly lose connection and the bluetooth setting will be on 'disabled' on the phone. I thought maybe it was my headset, it was old anyway, but I got a new headset (both are Motorola), and it has the same problem. Any ideas?

I have the same problem with mine. Except I use the BlueAnt Z9i headset.

Anyone know a solution?

Well... no one seems to hav an answer. However, I upgraded to this version of the OS: w ww.blackberryforums.com/general-8100-series-discussion-pearl/156668-latest-os-8130-4-5-0-122-4-5-0-89-multilanguage.html (remove the space after the w)

Normally the connection drops within 3-5 minutes after being off a call. I have been connected for the past 30 minutes with no problems or dropping. So far so good...

I'll let you know if things change.

P.S. The new OS is also great for performance and storage space.

Interesting, I followed the suggestion of another person about upgrading the OS, but when I tried, the software said I didn't need an upgrade and wouldn't download anything. Couldn't find a manual download process either. In that same thread though it said Verizon won't allow an upgrade? which is what I have...

ok, followed the instructions on this thread saying how to upgrade the OS, seems to be working after a few hours. BTW, follow the instructions and the link... even though it says 'Alltel', it works for any carrier.
