Default At&t 8100 Mms

I have the "unlimited messaging package" which includes sending text, picture, and video messages.
I am aware that BlackBerry device previously required a data plan in order to send pictures and videos.

Is it true that if you use version 4.5 of BlackBerry OS that this is no longer required?
Do I need a provider-specific version of BlackBerry OS to be able to send MMS?

If you do not have that blackberry bundle you will not be able to send mms messages. With great power comes great responsibility, aka larger bill.

You can still MMS if you use the Pay-Per-Use MediaNet. I used that on my old Blackberry before I got the Blackberry bundle. Just call AT&T and tell them you would like to add that. Make sure it's Pay-Per-Use, though, or else it can get pricey.
