Default Brand new Blackberry just broke(?) ...help!

Please Login to Remove!

So I was updating my Blackberry Pearl 8110 to the newest OS and I left the room for a while. My dad thought itd be a good idea to turn the computer off.

So I have no idea what step it got up to or anything but now my Blackberry is just a white screen with the hourglass icon rotating for a while now.

What can I do?! Please help!

I think I might possibly have the best luck ever (and the worst).

So my phone finally turned on!!! YAY!

I guess that the new OS was done uploading because when I go to About it says 4.5. I also think that when it was unplugged, it was in the process of adding all my stuff back to the phone. I lost my contacts, themes, etc. Those mean nothing to me as long as my phone is okay so I'm happy.

Is there anything I can do to make sure everything was installed successfully?

Umm the phone isn't broken redpearl...that's not good advice at all.

If your phone is running without any hitches, chances are it loaded fine. But you can always reload it to make sure.

To get your contacts and such back you should have a backup saved on your hard drive (folder depends on DM settings) just go into the Desktop Manager find the file and load the backup.

If it got through the install process, it made it through the back up process as well. Re-cable it to your PC and restore using the Back up and Restore option.
