Salt Water damage phone wont turn on
I made a small mistake the other day and entered the water with my phone still in my pocket. (saving someones sailing boat)

I need the information such as emails, phone numbers etc off my phone!

What & where is the information stored? Phone, Sim or mini SD

Can I simply buy another Blackberry and install the sim & Mini SD & the informayion will restore?

Any helpfull sugestions will be kindly appreciated

First, Welcome!

You can rule out the MicroSD card as a place to look, no "secure data" such as email, contacts, phone log or settings is stored there. There are a few things to look at... did you ever connect your phone to a PC and run the BlackBerry DM? If so you may have a backup file created and saved somewhere on your machine. If not, thing will get a little more tricky.

It is possible that your Addresses are saved on the SIM -if- you had selected "Copy to SIM Phone Book" for each contact. If not, they're not saved there by default (or automatically). The call log, and emails, as far as I know, do not have an option to save anywhere, but on the phone (not the SIM).

The less then positive reality you are about to face is, that if you have no backup saved anywhere, you can bet a lot of you data is lost, if the phone does not power up again.
