When I get a text message I dont get an audible notification throught either my SYNC in my car or Bluetooth headset. It works fine with calls. What could be the problem? i have re-paired it several times.

There is no "problem," it just doesn't do that. You only get notified of calls through the bluetooth. SMS, e-mails, etc., do not get audible notices on the bluetooth. Sorry.
