Default Easier way to insert symbols?

Please Login to Remove!

It takes a lot of time to insert symbols (ex. %^&*=_+) on the Blackberry Pearl and I want to know if there is an easier way. The symbol menu on the phone is very laggy and I dread going into it.

For the symbols you use a lot, you could create an AutoText entry for them.

There are already some in there, like rb will do a ) and br will do (

Check out AutoText to see what else is in there....
