Is there any way to view data such as passwords originally stored on the phone on a device other than the phone? I backed up the phone on the Blackberry Desktop Manager just prior to dropping the phone in water causing it to malfunction. Don't know if I will obtain another phone anytime soon but really need the data.

I know one method to view your info on your pc, but you have to be prepare to get your hands dirty , a lot of stuff to download.

-You have to install java jdk (Java SE Downloads).

-Install blackberry jde development environment v4.5 (https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...359F4AE7BD7BA1).

-And blackberry device simulator for pearl 8100 (https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...445D344F15A044).

With this software you would have a virtual bb pearl 8100 running on your pc, and you can use the desktop manager to restore your last backup on this virtual phone and access all of your info.

thanks for that. I will be trying this as well. My pearl has been acting weird for the last two days, and I want to get a lot of things off of it, before I reset to factory.
