Question Newbie Needs Help - Can't Find Download

Please Login to Remove!

I just went online to my library and downloaded myaudio2go software and an audiobook to my Pearl 8130. Now I have no idea how to open the software or file, or how to find them since they are not showing up on what I would call the desktop. I'm pretty sure they downloaded because I got to a screen that said something like "downloads" (black text on plain white background) and had them both listed there. I am used to my old iPaq 1940 I just upgraded from where I could look at things like it was "My Documents" and could find whatever I wanted when I sync'ed it. Sorry to all those advanced users out there. I am so new to this it isn't even funny. I will have more questions later I'm sure....
Thanks.

Welcome to the forums!

Do you have Desktop Manger installed on your PC?

I told you I was behind the 8-ball. Wait - on my PC? I downloaded it over the web using the BB not through my computer. Do you mean I should hook the BB to my computer to find it?

No, Desktop Manager cannot be on your BlackBerry. It installs on your PC.

BlackBerry - Desktop Software - BlackBerry Desktop Software at BlackBerry.com

I suggest you read the BlackBerryFAQ here, the Help on your device, and the info about Desktop Manager in the link I gave you. Things will make a lot more sense then.

To see if the myaudio2go application installed on your device, go to Options > Advanced Options > Applications.

If this is the software you are referring to, I don't see anything saying it works on BlackBerry.

MYaudio2go - Help - Quick Start Guide

This page mentions it can work on Palm devices.
MYaudio2go - Help - Basics - OverDrive WMA Audiobooks

BlackBerry is not listed here as a compatible device:
Global distributor of digital eBooks, audiobooks, music & video for library, school & retail

Thanks for all your help. Unfortunately, my BB is being returned - false promises from Verizon = plan too rich for my blood, especially since it has more functionality than I need. Thanks again - I will pass this info onto my DH in case he needs it for his.
