My sis-in-law, in her infinite wisdom, went out of town leaving me with her 8120, asking me to update her OS for her. But what she forgot to tell me is that the phone's service is suspended (gotta love the in laws don't you).
Can this be done? I've got the software ready to go, but want to know if I can do it?

Doesn't matter. She can reactivate the device whenever she wants. You don't even need a SIM in it to upgrade.

I'll think twice before I borrow another $10 from her again. Jokes on her though. I'm gonna charge her $10 for doing it, plus room & board for taking care of her BB while she's gone.

I keep getting an app error 523 after the phone resets. I have tried a battery pull, wiping the phone and then trying to install it again, with the same results.
