I used to always use my BB for listening to music, although not for at least a few months now. I tried to again today, and found that the music was distorted and the volume kept going up and down. The speaker works, although somewhat crackly. Sounds like the speaker is flapping around when its loud.

Could the audio out on the phone somehow become damaged? I checked the "audio boost" option and it is set to off, but if turned on at some point, could that have done irreparable damage?

Its definitely not the music, or headphones (i tried 3, including the orig. BB headset)

no one have any ideas on this?

hey i'm bringing this one back from the dead. anyone have the same problem, or any solution to it? it's still a problem for me...
