So just the other day my mute button stopped working. When I press it, it doesn't even click any more. So I took the phone apart to try and see what was wrong with it, but I didn't really know what I was looking at.

Does anyone know how it works? I have some basic knowledge so I can understand stuff. It's just that from looking at it and the mechanism, I can't imagine the mechanism. I think a piece might have broken off too so even more i'm unsure.

If possible, can someone send me pictures of what a functioning mute button assembly should look like?

Oh yah. I also forgot to mention that I'm waiting to get a brand new full housing that i ordered online in the mail. Will this fix my problem?
