I have an 8130 Pearl through Sprint. I've had it for about 2 or 3 months now, and until this weekend it's been fine.
Here's a brief summary of my issues, with details below: I am no longer getting text/missed call/gmail/facebook alerts, existing texts/missed calls/facebook alerts were erased to Friday morning, and new ones seem to be erased as well.
Normally, I get alerts for text messages, missed calls, new emails on my gmail account, and updates/messages from Facebook.
At some point this weekend, this has stopped. It looks like I still get the red blinking light when there's a new gmail email or facebook update, but I'm not seeing any icons on the screen.
Furthermore, it looks like all the text messages and gmail/missed call alerts were deleted back to Friday morning, and all my existing Facebook updates were completely erased.
It also likes like new stuff is being deleted. For example, I posted a status update on Facebook and sent a friend a text message. Per normal, I had a copy of the Facebook message displaying in the Facebook app, and a copy of my outgoing text message.
An hour or so later, when I next checked my phone, both had been erased.
Anyone have an idea as to what could have happened? It's as if there were some sort of master "clear out today/past 48 hours' worth of activity and don't save any new stuff" setting that was selected.
All my pictures are still present on the media card (didn't save any elsewhere). I'm a complete noob BB owner, and have absolutely no idea why/how/what is going on here. I can't pinpoint a specific time, but it appears to have started at some point either Saturday or Sunday.
Only thing I can think of that might factor in is that I dropped my phone on a carpeted floor Saturday night. The battery cover fell off, but the battery itself stayed in and the phone stayed on. I tried a "pull out battery" restart today to see if that might default back any mystery settings that might be doing this, but it hasn't changed anything.
