Default Duplicate Contacts Problem

Hi all, this is my first post to CB ...

I have the strangest problem, and I have searched numerous forums and other technical sites and have not found a solution yet.

I used DM 4.7 and DM 4.6 to sync my contacts. I have about 1100 in my Outlook. At some point a couple weeks ago, I noticed numerous duplicates among my BB Pearl (8100) contacts. So I wiped my BB and reloaded my Outlook contacts. There were over 1600 contacts on my BB. DM sync said it was loading 1100 contacts onto my BB. I disconnected my BB and it looked fine. However, I checked it after about 10 minutes and all the duplicates reappeared. Exactly the same number around 1600 as before.

I read some posts about loading dups from "deleted items" in outlook. So I cleaned out my deleted items folder, re-synced, and thought I and found the solution. About 20 minutes later, all the dups reappeared.

I am at a total loss, any one ever experience this? I did download Blackberry Updater, and it said I was running the latest software.

Question I have same problem

I hadn't heard about the deleted contacts causing an issue, that makes sense. I had several duplicates show up on my device, which I deleted and the next time I synced with Outlook (not BES) it wiped them from Outlook. Now I can't get them back into Outlook. Did you ever find a solution?!

Try a one way sync to see if that solves the issue.

If not you might also try deleting all the calendar entries on your device or Outlook and doing the one-way sync. Hopefully it'll resolve the duplicates issue.
