|  Help -- Newby OS Update Quest

I have a friend who has been recently complaining about her approx 1 year old BB 8130. She has never done anything to the phone as far as updates. I am wondering a couple of things.
Opinions???
Should I update her OS she is currently running 4.3.0.97... I see that the most current is 4.5.0.205, this seems like many itterations of OS have occured.
Can I update directly from her 4.3 to the latest 4.5? or is there something in between that I need to update first (i.e is there a 4.4 I need to install also)
Lastly, I have already updated my BB Bold, several times so I am familiar with updating it, but is there anything I need to know about the 8130 that might be different before I attempt the update.
