Default How to stop BB locking while watching video?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

Silly question maybe but I've searched everywhere and I can't figure it out.
I like watching videos on my Pearl but after a few minutes, my BB locks itself and the video is gone. So I need to type in my password and go back to the video, very annoying!
How do I prevent this from happening while watching a video?

Thnx a lot!

I've never dealt with this. I assume you'll have to periodically do something like roll the trackball or press the space key; anything to reset the password lock countdown. Or disable the password for the time being. I don't see an option to suspend the password lock when the video player is running. Maybe someone else knows something different.

Aiharkness is correct. There's no way to prevent the device from locking other than pressing a key or rolling the trackball. You could disable the password while watching the video but remember to enable it when done. I don't think there is a another work around for this as it would be a huge security flaw.

I too am having the same problem but with my music (I don't use the video). I know there is a way around this. I had the same problem with my previous 8100 Pearl but cannot for the life of me remember what I did to get round this before - I managed to do something which allowed the music to continue in the background even though the password prompt came on after the preset amount of inactivity (thus still ensuring the security element was active).
I presume the same solution is out there for my music problem and Lizzle's video problem and it would be great if someone could enlighten us.
