Default MMS texting, no data plan active

Please Login to Remove!

Hey, Im sure this has been asked a million and 1 times before so Im really sorry for doing it again. I recently sold my Pearl to a friend. The pearl at one time had the data plan on it, and now it does not. Its been disabled, so the MMS text option does not even come up. Ive read though that if youve had the data plan at one time, the service books are still there, and that they just need to be activated? I've also learned that downloading a new OS will allowing me to fix this problem as well. Anyone know any truth to this? Im not sure of what to do, so Im hoping someone can help me. I know that its possible to send mms text without the plan, as Im now using a curve, and for some reason can get on the internet, (I get charged per use of course) and I can send mms texts.

you need to call the carrier and have them put on the "berry enabler" it is free and allows MMS books and WAP browser books to be pushed down. keep in mind, that for the WAP browser, you are charged per kb if you d not have a dataplan
