I've just got myself an 8120 on Vodafone UK. I'm using my existing contract at the moment which doesn't include the blackberry data plan, so I can only access WiFi using the default browser, nothing else.

My question is, can I access the web using Opera/Bolt through GPRS without signing up for the blackberry data plan or can you only access through GPRS if you have the data plan?

I think that may be the best case!

Absolutely. If you have a BB, you get the best use from it and a BB data plan. No more work arounds to make things work.
