Default Does Opera allow web access without Data Plan?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi There,

I've just got myself an 8120 on Vodafone UK. I'm using my existing contract at the moment which doesn't include the blackberry data plan, so I can only access WiFi using the default browser, nothing else.

My question is, can I access the web using Opera/Bolt through GPRS without signing up for the blackberry data plan or can you only access through GPRS if you have the data plan?

Cheers,

George

You can access data but you are putting yourself at risk for some large phone bills. More information here:

I've already got a data plan on my contract, would it be worth cancelling that and getting the blackberry plan instead and be done with it?

I think that may be the best case!

Absolutely. If you have a BB, you get the best use from it and a BB data plan. No more work arounds to make things work.
