Default Calendar problems

Please Login to Remove!

I am running a storm-like today plus theme on my 8130, and had to upgrade to 4.5.0.131 to use it. I am on sprint

I haven't exactly been thrilled with 4.5. It takes FOREVER to access the symbol screen when typing, and other things just seem to take a much longer time than they did before the upgrade. I have just been dealing with it. This isn't my big problem though.

I can't remember at this point why, but I had to re-register on BIS to get my e-mail accounts back (I have 5: 3 gmails, a hotmail, and one from my college)

I had a bunch of appointments on my calendar previous to this register, and they all showed on my homescreen. Until these issues I never even realized they were tied to an e-mail account (I don't sync), so I don't know which one they were tied to, but they were blue, so it was my default.

Now, since re-registering, they do not show up on my homescreen. I could not find a way to change the account they were tied to, so I ended up deleting them and re-entering them under a different e-mail account. I used the trial-and-error method to figure out which one showed up on the homescreen.

Now another problem: the alarm doesn't ring for them now. I double-checked that I have "reminder" on, and I do, but no alarm goes off. It's happened for about a week now.

Ok - you did a good job of detailing most of the information which is much appreciated.

1st - Open the Calender and then BB Menu > Scroll to Options and click...

Click on each calender and see which one has most of the Calender entries - that is the Calender you want to set up as your default.

Exit out...From the Calender screen...BB Menu > Scroll to Select Calender and click...

Scroll down to the Calender with the entries from step 1 and click on it (or on click on Show All Calenders) Save and Exit out.

You may have to reboot to get your today theme to reset with your appointments.

Best I can do for you right now!

If all else fails - try resetting the theme to the BB Today theme and see if that one works.

If it does - you just may have to ditch the theme :(

Ok, one has 7 and one has 9, but "device Default" has 31, which I assumimg is all the old ones. And under select calendar, I have "show all calendars" selected already.

So, I'm not really sure. I guess I'll change the theme for now and see if it gets better.

thanks again

Also don't forget to try a battery pull while the device is on. As I am sure you are already aware that tends to cure most of the glitches you will run across.
