MetroPCS is a CDMA carrier, right?
The 8110 is GSM only and will NEVER work on a CDMA carrier.

You can call T-Mobile customercare for unlocking you BB. They will send you a email, explaining steps to unlock you phone.

CDMA will not work ..though :P
