Unhappy blackberry 8100 media manager.

Please Login to Remove!

I recently purchased a Blackberry 8100 pearl complet with accesories including installation cd. I installed cd on desktop and tried to run media manager but the writing for m/manager greyed out and the message Change Display Settings came up and told me i needed to change the screen resoloution to1024x768 pixels or higher and color resoloution to 16 bit or higher. Is this message intended for desktop or phone and how do i go about it. Thank you in advance any help is greatly apprecitated.

Welcome to the forums.

That is intended for your desktop. From your desktop: Right Click > Properties > Settings Tab, adjust your screen resolution accordingly.

Do you have a media card for the device?

Media manager software stinks, and I'd get rid of it if I were you. Just put a card in the phone, enable mass media, and drag/drop your songs/pix/videos to it using Win Explorer. MM takes forever and crashes, at least when I used it. I don't think you really need it for anything. I deleted it.

+1. I agree and don't use it either.

However, if you do not have a media card (you really should though) then media manager is your only method of moving media on and off your internal memory of the device. With a media card, you don't need the media manager component.
