Default Stupid Phone - Pearl

Please Login to Remove!

My stupid phone has decided that it's going to continuously delete my text messages and emails, even before I check them. Anyone else having this issue? I'm ready to throw this POS against the wall.

It sounds like you are very low on memory.

What is your file free Options > Status?

Pull the battery and check again. Post your results back here.

Also, follow these links to prevent this issue from happening.

12358968 bytes free... pulling the battery out seems to have alleviated the problem for the time being, but yesterday it did the same thing. I haven't put anything on my phone in months, so it shouldn't need to be constantly clearing text data.

I take it that number was after the battery pull. Be sure to close out of applications you're not using by pressing the Menu Key and selecting Close/Exit. Otherwise they will use up memory. Alt + Escape (back key) will show you what applications are currently running.

I try. The only app I really use is Texas Hold'em King 3. Oh well, and yes the number was after the battery pull out. I've had Pearls delete text data before, since I never transfer or delete the data on my own, but never had one do it constantly. Oh well. If it persists then (I think my boss just fell out of his chair - lol!) I will try a different route.

The links I posted above will help prevent it from happening. Also, you can take a look at QuickPull and schedule the device to reboot every night. I have mine scheduled to reboot at 4 am everyday. That should help with memory as well.

If not, a weekly battery pull won't hurt.

According to the OP's profile, their provider is SunCom.
