My trackball will not allow BB to open any messages or email apps. It opens everything else. What do I do? I've tried turning it off and on.

Welcome to the forums.

How did you turn it off and on? Did you remove the battery? If not, remove the battery from the device for 30 seconds while the device is powered on.

Default Need Help

No, I didn't. It powers up, turns on, lets me make and receive calls. It just won't let me check any messages or emails

Try the battery pull:

Also, what happens if you press Alt + Escape (back key). Does it take you into your messages folder that way?
